Our Content and the 13th Article of Faith

When I was younger, we were taught to memorize the 13 Articles of Faith. The one I remember above all was Article of Faith 13, because it was long and taught to us in the form of a song. I had forgotten the tune until I began to read it again, and then I didn't have to finish reading to remember all of it.
How does it influence what we create? The very first line, "We believe in being honest," is clear. We have to create honest content. This could be interpreted as simply not producing lies or false information, but we can take it further. I think this is most applicable to creating your own content. Don't steal others' ideas; if you use them, credit them. If you're going to use AI to generate images, say that, though it is very frowned upon to use AI to generate photos and videos because there are many assets you could choose from that aren't AI, but we will get into that later. If you choose to use the videos of another person to enhance your video content, ask for permission and credit them. Taking credit for things you didn't do is wrong and immediately conflicts with the Article of Faith.
The other line I want to analyze is "If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." There is a lot of content that is negative, brings you down, or makes people uncomfortable. We are meant to seek after things that are the opposite. Unfortunately, that kind of content is not what we see saturating our media. That makes it our job to create more of the positive, uplifting content to make accessible to the general public. It isn't easy, but it is worth it.
Before I end, I want to go more in-depth into how you can use other ideas.
Videos/ideas:
On TikTok, there are often trends that go around the algorithm, and even though it is a trend, people like to put "dc:" (dance credit) and "ic:" (idea credit). I think that it is a good and honest thing to do, and I particularly like it, so I can go back to their idea.
Art:
AI is very prominent on the internet, through videos, photos, logos, and more. The environmental impact of AI aside, we are talking about artists. We see people online who offer commissions for art or videos, but creators often choose to use AI because it is free. You can hire affordable artists to create your content, or you can use websites like Canva to create your own detailed artwork. AI generates images by taking "inspiration" from art already created and publicly available on the internet. So even though it doesn't look exactly like the original art, it is still technically theft. It is better to save money to commission an artist, develop the skills to create your own art, or learn digital design. I know many people who will boycott or block companies if they see any AI on their page, even just their profile photo on social media.

To prove the quality of Canva creation, I made the space image in less than 15 minutes.

Happy Creating!
