Benefits of Frequent Writing

This blog was started for a communications class I’m currently in. We’re meant to post one blog post a day, five days a week. I’ve been able to learn some interesting stuff!

To start, I’ve spent part of the time working on my photos, all of which were made in Canva with assets available on there. I learned more about designing things in it, searching for “elements” for the pictures, and that it’s hard for me to come up with pictures sometimes. Sometimes a prompt doesn’t give me enough inspiration, so I struggle to determine what I want it to be.

It has also affected me mentally. I’m able to see more ways to interpret a prompt and can generally come up with response ideas to said prompts. Sometimes I can do it so well that I do voice typing for my submission and edit it after.

Writing regularly in general has opened a new path of creativity. It’s helped me develop more ideas, improve my writing style, and it helps me stay in the mindset of “I’m a creator, I’m a writer.” I like that I have found an outlet where I can teach people what I know and express things I feel and what is going on in my life. There’s a comfort in it, in a way.

Something I didn’t expect was finding my voice. I feel the way I wrote beforehand has changed until now. I’ve become more confident in what I write and how I write it. I know that I still have a lot of growth to do, and more skills to develop, but I am proud of myself
